Paranoia is funny
I saw a guy the other day. He walked down the street, constantly looking over his shoulder. when I asked him why, he said that if he stopped, then the monsters, who were afraid of his eyes, would sneak up behind him and eat him. I said to him, "Well, how do you know the monsters are there?" He rsponded by saying that if they weren't there, he wouldn't be soterrified of them. After that, I asked "Well, how do you know they're afraid of your eyes?" To which he replied, every time I look for them they hide. After that, I decided to ask another question. I asked the man, "Well, why can't anyone else see them?" To this, he suddenly got furious and said "BECAUSE THEY ARE MONSTERS WHO WANT TO EAT ME!!" After that, I asked one more question, I asked the man, what that had to do with anything, after that, he said, "Well if you were a monster, and you were trying to sneak up on someone and eat them, would you want everyone else saying 'Look out there is a giant monster behind you!' No! Fuck no you wouldn't! So the monsters turn invisible to everyone else, but if they're invisible to me, then they can't eat me, since you can't eat what can't see you." After that, i was baffled at the obnoxiously simple logic, that was essentially possible. So I said thanks for your time, and we went our separate ways.
